Lea Salonga-Chien (born February 22, 1971) is a singer and actress from the Philippines best known for originating the lead role of Kim in the musical Miss Saigon,[2] for which she won the Olivier, Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics and Theatre World awards.

“Lea Salonga . . . Your Songs” is a special concert dedicated to her avid supporters held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Thursday night (Dec. 10).

This is a full dress rehersal concert images intended for the press, Lea’s friends, relatives and fans.

A musical direction of Lea’s brother Gerard Salonga together with the 36-piece FILharmoniKA Orchestra headed by a good friend Marvin Querido.
Tony winner Lea Salonga, belted her Broadway songs “Memory,” “I Dreamed A Dream,” “Electricity,” and “Defying Gravity”. Pop song numbers like “If You Leave Me Now,” “Now and Forever,” “Open Arms,” “No Boundaries,” and Broadway version “Poker Face,” and her tribute to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson were a real treat.
Her stage collaboration with “comedy queen” Ai Ai delas Alas brought the house down. Ai Ai’s entrance hinting an oversized “Annie” complete with the signature red dress, accompanied by a balloon dog was hilarious.
Over 5,000 song requests from around the globe – the U.S., United Kingdom, Australia, and Dubai – Lea had selected a diverse and electrifying set that delighted her loyal fan base, and new concertgoers alike in her two-day holiday concert last (Dec. 11-12) at the PICC.
This is probably my last concert coverage for this year 2009. My first time to shoot at PICC and im impressed with the concert lighting set up, i love it!!!! downside is i dont have my shooting camera and lenses that i usually used during my concert coverage.

Since i got an all access concert pass plus seeing the lovely set and awesome stage lighting how can resist not to shoot? I asked Marvin if i could borrow his Olympus camera for this event, but i have a hard time figuring out how to operate his Oly cameras, imagine a simple opening the CF card slot took me 10 minutes i even asked Sir Manny Librodo how to open it.

I remember my Gf Ma-anne brought my Canon 400D with tele 70-300mm f4 Sigma and 10-22 mm lens so i decided to stick to my Canon than use unfamiliar system.
